Both in brachytherapy and optionally in teletherapy, Radiation Detection continuously detects existing radiation in the treatment room independently of the source. The current values are displayed via the Door Terminal as well as the Cockpit Terminal. The setting of the threshold values is pin-protected and adjustments are logged. If the data is above the threshold values, an optical and acoustic warning is triggered before access to the treatment room is granted. All measured values are automatically protocolled and are used to evaluate the weekly, monthly or even annual beam times.
The individual features of the Safety Suite can be combined individually to provide the best possible support for your everyday workflow. The display and operation is touch-controlled via the multifunctional OPASCA terminals. The features are available for all common LINAC models from the manufacturers Accuray, Elekta, Siemens, Varian, and with limitations also for MR-LINACs from Elekta and ViewRay. Further areas of application: CT and brachytherapy rooms.
